1Co 12:7 – For good

Manifestation is a word that has come to mean things like “think aspirational thoughts” or “trust in the universe”. However, the word was used in the Bible before our modern cultures put their spin on it. “To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good” (1 Corinthians 12:7). This verse speaks of manifestation being a tool that is given to those who live through the Holy Spirit. God’s Spirit is given to us, if we ask for it, so that we may be good. We simply forget this when we feel like we tackle our life’s challenges alone. Have you ever prayed for something and it got answered in a way you didn’t expect? Well, that’s God’s own form of manifestation. Through prayer, we are able to visualise what we want to achieve in the future, and through the Holy Spirit under God’s will, we live out his goodness. God’s Spirit is manifested in us so that we are empowered to achieve the things we seek to achieve for the common good. Let God work in your life and experience his goodness.
