I’m sitting in an aeroplane, and outside, rain lashes the window while cargo handlers scurry around, bracing themselves against the wind and rain. The weather has been like this for weeks, and it seems it will never change. The thrust of the aircraft’s engines pulls me from my reverie and moments later, we are powering upwards towards the dark canopy above. Darkness engulfs us as the aircraft ascends through the roiling storm clouds – unending, unassailable, unbearable until suddenly, everything changes. Bright sunlight floods down from a baby blue sky—a rainbow arcs across the clouds below. In a moment, in the blink of an eye, the world has changed. Our lives and the world around us may seem dark and the storms unending. However, God has promised that the day is coming when in a moment, everything will change – no matter how unending, unassailable, and unbearable things may be. “It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed.” (1 Corinthians 15:52). Jesus is coming. Don’t despair at the storms. Above them is the Son. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/1co15v52
