Along the edges of the vines in the vineyards near where we live are beautiful roses. While many might think the roses are there for aesthetic reasons, the real reason is not so romantic. The roses are there to die! They are planted as many of the diseases and bugs that might attack the vines will first attack the roses, thus giving the farmer early warning. And so these beautiful roses are planted to save the vines. This is a stark reminder of what Jesus did for us. “Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.” (1 Peter 2:24). Jesus, beautiful in his sinlessness, was planted by God on this earth to take the sins that otherwise would kill us. And in so doing, he has by his death, given us life. It’s because of Jesus that the disease of sin that would undoubtedly kill us has been removed so that we can live. What a gift, but like any gift, we must receive it. Take Jesus fully into your life and experience his release from sin and guilt now and his promise of eternal life in the future. Open Bible – http://bit.ly/1Pe2v24, https://bit.ly/Share2Friends
