2Co 4:18 – Unseen is eternal

King Solomon one of the wisest and wealthiest people ever, says in Ecclesiastes 1:14 “I observed everything going on under the sun, and really, it is all meaningless—like chasing the wind.” He is saying that once you finally get hold of your big dream car, house, or career, it simply vanishes into nothing. Yet despite this warning, we keep chasing these wind dreams. Rather chase something real. “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”  (2 Corinthians 4:18).  It is an irony. The things that seem real aren’t, yet the things that seem unreal are. Real treasure, a lasting reward, is found in the unseen. “Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy.” (1 Peter 1:8). Today see the unseen – see God, and you will experience love and joy – you will experience eternity.
