Fynbos plants, which grow in the Western Cape of South Africa, are one of the most botanically diverse in all the world. A relatively small area of just 470 km2 is home to 2285 different plant species. This is more botanical diversity than the richest tropical rainforest in South America, including the Amazon. But what is most astounding is that fynbos grows in some of the worst conditions possible. Many of these plants grow in quartz rock soil that offers no nutrients to the plants. Yet despite this, or rather, because of this the greatest biodiversity arises and the most beautiful plants imaginable. The same is true in our lives. We all go through times when it certainly feels like we are growing in the hard rocky inhospitable soil of life. It’s a struggle to survive to face our troubles. Yet it’s in this that God works his greatest works. “For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!” (2 Corinthians 4:17). Know this – Despite your struggles, or rather, because of them the greatest most beautiful glory imaginable will surely bloom…forever! Open Bible – https://bit.ly/2co4v17
