Dark clouds are everywhere; a storm is brewing. That’s how life sometimes feels when everything starts to go wrong. It’s overwhelming. And in our storm, we cry to God, “Why me? Why do bad things always have to happen to me?” However, it’s often only in these dark moments that we see the light shining. In fact, without darkness, we may never notice the light, even though it is there. How often have you left a light on during the day and not even noticed it was on? However, turning on the light makes all the difference when the room is dark – it lights the whole room. The impact is unmistakable. “For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.” (2 Corinthians 4:6). If you are in a dark place, open your eyes and look, for God promised to shine in your darkness. Look for his blessings all around you, and they will appear. If you are in a light place, open your eyes and look. Give thanks. Don’t miss seeing God’s blessing all around you. God’s light is everywhere.
