Piles and piles of dishes. Endless washing. That’s how it sometimes feels after a meal. However, with firm resolve, the mountains are conquered, and all is cleaned. That is until the next meal. It is an endless task. It can feel overwhelming. Thankfully there are dishwashers! Likewise, when doing life, we can’t help ending each day dirty with sin. We ask God to clean us, but the next day we are dirty again. Endless washing. It can feel overwhelming. Thankfully there is Jesus. “Jesus answered, “Those who have had a bath need only to wash their feet; their whole body is clean.”” (John 13:10). Jesus changes the whole approach to our sins. It’s no longer, life followed by piles of sin. It’s life followed by piles of grace. Jesus is way better than the dishwasher. Jesus is the ultimate non-stick coating. “Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord will never count against them.” (Romans 4:7-8). Jesus invites you to experience the peace of a life covered and cleaned by him.
