Zoom. Wow, it’s incredible. The ease with which we can connect with people, regardless of where they are in the world. It’s instant communication. Connect. Talk. Disconnect. And then back to our life. It’s so convenient. Yet, while this is great for connecting with colleagues or family or friends, do we sometimes feel we can simply have a Zoom God too? Connect with him when we want to. Keep our camera off. Disconnect when finished, and return to our life. Our Zoom God is convenient. We only need to chat when we need something. And even then, we don’t need our “camera” on. He doesn’t need to see how terrible my life looks. He just needs to hear my requests or at least be convinced that I’m still a part of his team. And then, when my “Zoom” connection is over, I can live my own life. God doesn’t want a Zoom relationship. He wants a love relationship. He wants to be in your life 24×7. He wants to live in your home and see you even at your worst. It’s then that he can truly help you, protect you, transform you. “Love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the LORD is your life” (Deuteronomy 30:20). Open Bible – https://bit.ly/deu30v20
