Joh 5v25 – Phone’s ringing

Mobile phones transformed how we communicate letting us talk to anyone, anywhere, at any time. However, imagine there was a phone that let you receive calls from God. “The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out” (John 10:3). The word “voice” is the Greek word phōnē. They “listen to his phōnē”. Jesus is calling, he wants to talk to you. That’s incredible. However, what type of phone do we need to receive his call? It’s no ordinary phone, it’s called iFaith. “And without faith it is impossible to please God” (Hebrews 11:6). It’s the only phone that God communicates with. But where do I get one? “Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.” (Romans 10:17). We get our iFaith from reading the word of God. Jesus wants to talk to you. He wants you to hear his voice of direction in your life. Read God’s word and get your iFaith. This phone is so powerful, that even if you die, you will hear his call – “Very truly I tell you, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live.” (John 5:25).
