Is the day you get married the best day of your life? I recently got engaged, and there is nothing more exciting than knowing I get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend and that I will always have someone there for me in every area of my life. However, this also made me think back to the day I decided to get baptised and commit my life to God. Getting married, while amazing, is not something everyone does. However, we all are invited to become part of the greatest marriage ever – the bride of Christ. We all get the choice to commit our lives to God—a God who loves and cares for us and promises to always look after us. “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10). Choose to commit your life to God, and you will celebrate the ultimate rejoicing – “As a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you.” (Isaiah 62:5).
