For many years, we have been living and investing in a property with only a short-term lease. This means that we only have any certainty for 30 days. Nonetheless, we have continually invested in improving the house. We have learned to make it our home, trusting God for tomorrow. It’s not easy living in this uncertain state, but it does develop faith. But when you think about it, this is how our journey through life is, too. We believe we have a long-term 100-year lease on life, but in reality, we only have today. Yet we invest in our lives and live like we will be living tomorrow. “Look here, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we are going to a certain town and will stay there a year. We will do business there and make a profit.” How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone. What you ought to say is, “If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that.” (James 4:13-15). We are all short-term tenants. “This world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever” (1 John 2:17). Commit to God, and you will get an eternal lease on life. Open Bible – http://bit.ly/1Jo2v17, http://bit.ly/Jam4v13-15
