One thing there is no shortage of in our hyper-connected, content consuming world are opinions. We all “know” what is right whether it comes to our views of politics, religion, morality, dieting, money….the list is endless. And the result is often vitriolic attacks on those who are “wrong” who don’t “know”. When it comes to sharing God’’s message, the most powerful tool to silence these attacks are not clever words but good deeds – “For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people.” (1 Peter 2:15). If our words are truly good, if they are God-based and not human-based, if they are wise and not foolish, it will show in our lives – how we speak, how we act, regardless of to whom and regardless of the circumstance. “I would rather see a sermon than hear one any day”.
