“Former FTX Boss says, ‘I didn’t try to commit fraud’” – “New board to fight corruption and theft of city’s resources“. The news headlines today. Do you get depressed with the corruption in the world and feel there just is no end to this? This isn’t new. Two thousand years ago Peter warned his generation of the same issue; “Save yourself from this corrupt generation” (Acts 2:40). But he doesn’t leave us despondent. He tells us how to save ourselves. “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off —for all whom the Lord our God will call” (Acts 2:38-39). And the believers respond by choosing to live the good news in a bad news world; “The believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer” (Acts 2:41). Let’s accept God’s solution. Let’s live the way he asks us to live. And then despite the corruption around us, we can experience a life filled with His presence, holiness, peace and love. 🌱 Open Bible – https://bit.ly/act2v38-41
