Most famous or powerful people are unreachable to us. Yet our Heavenly Father, the creator of heaven and earth, who is all-powerful, is not someone who wants to be unapproachable or unreachable. When we look at the relationship God shared with men and women in the Bible, it gives us an insight into the type of relationship Almighty God wants to share with us. “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend” (James 2:23). “The LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend” (Exodus 33:11). “I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do” (Acts 13:22). “(Daniel) you are very precious to God. Peace! Be encouraged! Be strong!” (Daniel 10:19). Our Heavenly Father wants to be our friend, for us to be children after His own heart. We are very precious to Him. He loves us. When we walk in His ways, it brings Him great pleasure. What incredible intimacy the Almighty God, our Heavenly Father, wants to share with those who put their trust in Him.
