Eph 2v10 – You are God’s poem

Eph 2v10 – You are God’s poem

Here is an amazing message to you from Paul – “You are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for you to do.” (Ephesians 2:10). The word “handiwork” is the Greek word poiema. This is the origin of the English word “poem”. Another way of reading this is “You are God’s poem”. A poem is an intense expression of feelings that touches the hearts and minds of those who hear it. We are being told that God’s poetry, his image and his glory are written within us. In a world where people only see hate, anger, sadness, and lies, God wants them to read a poem, to hear a song, to see a love letter from Him in you. “You are a letter from Christ…This “letter” is not written with pen and ink, but with the Spirit of the living God. It is not carved on tablets of stone, but on your heart.” (2Cor 3:3) – You are God’s poem, created in Jesus – His love to those in loneliness – His joy to those in sadness – His peace to those in fear – You are God’s poem, created in Jesus.
