When you get up in the morning, how do you prepare yourself for the day? Shower, brush your teeth etc. And then, when you are all showered and cleaned – a quick spray of deodorant so you smell fresh and good for others. Like we seek to please others with our fresh aroma, God also desires a pleasing aroma. But this aroma is more than just a smell; in Ephesians 5:2 we read, “Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.” We should seek to have a Christ-like fragrance so that when we encounter people during the day, they can smell Jesus on us. A life of sacrificial agape love. So, when you wake up every morning and put on your fragrance for the day, don’t forget to put on the aroma of Jesus too.
