“Fail safe” is an engineering term that refers to mechanisms put in place to try and negate the impact of failure. It’s the safety cord when things go wrong, which hopefully will save you. Yet, better than a fail safe is what God offers – “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you” (Heb 13:5). That’s far better than a plan B fail safe. God promises us that regardless of our situation, He will never fail us. He’s not a fail safe, He is safety when we fail – when life fails. “The name of the LORD is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” (Proverbs 18:10). When life lets you down, when your plans fail, know that God will never fail you. Run to him and experience true safety.
