Monday morning. I glance at my diary for the day. It’s packed full. I look at the time. It’s 5:27 pm. Where did the day go? Hopefully, tomorrow I will have more time. Monday morning. A week has passed. I glance at my diary for the day. It’s packed full. We are all familiar with how hectic busy life can be. Hours, days, months, and years can blur together. But into this frenzy of activity, a voice says, “Stop and consider God’s wonders” (Job 37:14). Just five words that can change everything – Pressure to peace. Anxiety to awe. Void to vision. Stop! It’s an instruction to be intentional with our time. To intentionally create space for God. When God created the universe, he gave the example by setting aside the seventh day as intentional time for God. Time to “consider God’s wonders”. Look at a flower, a bird, a mountain. Look at His Word. Look at your hand. Breathe in. Breathe out. Smile. God’s wonders surround you. You are God’s wonder. “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” (Psalms 139:14). Whatever is happening in your life, take a moment to stop and consider God’s wonders. Today, tomorrow, and always.
