If I say the word “home”, what images come to mind? Home is a safe haven and a comfort zone. A place to live with our families and pets and enjoy with friends. A place to build memories. Nothing is nicer than a home-cooked meal around the dinner table with family and friends. Or sitting beside a warm fire in the lounge, sharing stories. While we may not all have this blessing of home, our Heavenly Father and Lord Jesus understand our need to experience home as a place of love, family, safety, comfort and rest. Jesus said, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.” (John 14:23). And in 2 Corinthians 6:16, we read, “For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: ‘I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.’” God and Jesus desire to make their home in us. To dwell with us. To fill us with their love, peace, and wisdom. To give us rest and companionship. To keep us safe from harm. So wherever you are or whatever situation you are in, they seek to be with you and make their home forever. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/joh14v23, https://bit.ly/2co6v16
