Luk 2v10-11 – I bring you good news

Luk 2v10-11 – I bring you good news

In the darkness, a light shines out.

In the silence, an angel’s shout.

“I bring you good news, great joy for all.”

To their knees, the shepherds did fall.

“Today in David‘s town, a Saviour is born”.

The angel declares as heaven’s veil is torn.

“He is the Messiah. He is the Lord.”

Heavenly voices shout in divine accord.

The angels sing as Heaven attests,

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth his peace and favour rests.”

Today, in your darkness, the light will shine.

For a child was born, the one divine.

Today, for you, there is great news.

If you will hear, if you will choose.

Sing with the angels “Glory to God above”.

Give praise and thanks to the God of Love.

For on this day, our saviour was born.

Bringing hope and joy to a world forlorn.

Sing with the angels “Glory to God above”.

Give praise and thanks to the God of Love.

“Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.” (Luke 2:10-11). May God’s peace rest on you. Open Bible – http://bit.ly/Luk2v10-14
