I once had a dream that really impacted me. I was locked in a dark prison, and suddenly the door flung open, and Jesus was standing there. Leading me out, we got into a car. He drove at a crazy speed up a steep winding mountain pass. All I felt was overwhelming peace despite the steep cliffs and high speed. Abruptly the road ended. What now? A dead end with no way out. Suddenly the car accelerated toward the cliff. Peace. Utter peace. That’s all I felt. Jesus was driving. The ground fell away, and the car plummeted over the tops of the trees. There must be a moment when reason kicks in. When faith gives way to logic and the fear that follows. Yet all I felt was indescribable peace. Suddenly the car landed on an unseen ridge. Getting out of the car, Jesus said, “Come, follow me”. I followed him toward what appeared to be a cave. Someone was inside next to a fire. He looked up and smiled as Jesus turned and said, “This is my dad”. Peace. Joy. Love, indescribable, washed over me. And then I woke up. “Anyone who intends to come with me has to let me lead. You’re not in the driver’s seat; I am.” (Mark 8:34). Whatever your scary winding road, let Jesus drive and experience peace indescribable. “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27). Open Bible – http://bit.ly/mar8v34, http://bit.ly/joh14v27
