Solomon, in his wisdom, shares, “Oil and perfume make the heart glad, and the sweetness of a friend comes from his earnest counsel” (Proverbs 27:9). Our sense of smell profoundly influences our mood and behaviour. The aroma of gingerbread cookies baking evokes feelings of home and safety, while the stench of rotten fish triggers an instinctive urge to flee. Inhaling essential oils can reduce depression and anxiety and calm the nervous system. As God bestows the oil of joy and gladness through His grace and favour, He transforms us into a fragrant aroma that brings joy to others. While anxiety weighs down the heart, a kind word from a friend can uplift it. Jesus, our greatest friend, lived as this fragrant offering. Let’s inhale His goodness, filling ourselves with joy, as we spread His aroma everywhere, bringing life forevermore. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Pro27v9 (Kim B)
