We are camping in our roof top tent on the rim of the Fish River canyon. Meters away a sheer cliff plunges down to the majestic canyon below. It’s stunning. That is until it’s dark. Now without light the majestic canyon turns into a gaping dark crevasse. However, our camp lights illuminate the area around us letting us stay safe and away from the danger. Our journey through life is full of wonders and dangers. It is often in the darkness of ignorance that we don’t know where to walk. Before we know it we have made a bad decision, taken a wrong step and have plunged into a canyon of despair. “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” (Psalms 119:105). God is offering you a light, a lamp to illuminate your path. He is offering enlightenment. That is the ability to see and understand. He does this through his Word. Let his light shine in your life and he will show the wonders of life, while avoiding the dangers. Open his Word and see. Open his Word and SEE.
