Psa 1v2-3 – Planted in a forest

We were recently hiking in the mountains on a cold and windy day. We entered a forest with a beautiful mountain stream running through. Beside the stream were giant yellowwood trees over a hundred years old. They stood tall and peaceful unaffected by the weather. It made me think of this Psalm – “Blessed is he whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.” (Psalms 1:2-3). This is in contrast to the wicked – “Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away.” (Psalms 1:4). In life, we can either choose to delight in God and be like the unmoving tree planted beside the river, or we reject God and become like chaff blown away by all the storms and hardships of life. “For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.” (Psalms 1:6). Choose to be planted in God’s garden and experience his peace and protection. Open Bible – http://bit.ly/Psa1v1-4, http://bit.ly/READMore_ (Nicky B)
