Psa 28:7 – God’s shield

Employees at Starbucks are taught to use their apron as a shield. What does this mean? When customers are complaining or hurling insults, employees use their metaphorical shield to prevent themselves from getting hurt. We have a shield so much greater than an apron, we have God as our shield! “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song” (Psalm 28:7). Just like the Starbucks’ employees, we will go through tough times and sometimes it will feel like troubles are being thrown at us from all directions. However, we are shielded by the ultimate protector, so when we are weak we are made strong through God, our shield and our strength. The next time you try and “self protect” and take on the world alone… remember your divine Shield.
