Abad was off on a life-changing quest; to find the secret elixir to a long, fulfilling life. People were prepared to pay him millions to find the solution to this ultimate quest. After many difficult years travelling to all corners of the globe, collecting gold and gems, beautiful items and treasures, he returned home…defeated and dejected. “The elixir cannot be found,” he proclaimed as the crowds looked on in dismay. “No matter where I went, how far I went, or how many treasures I found, the elixir was never there.” We are all Abad. We all seek a long and fulfilling life. We may devote all our time, money, and energy to this pursuit. But sadly, we find ourselves searching in the wrong places -self-help books, astrologers, drugs, money, and possessions. Our journey can lead us to many places. But God tells us where we can find this elusive “elixir”. “Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days, keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.” (Psalm 34:12-14). It turns out we don’t have to go anywhere. The secret to a long and fulfilling life is found right inside us. Do not speak evil of anyone or tell lies. Turn from evil ways and do good, Seek peace, and pursue peace. And God promises if you do this, you will live a fulfilled life with many good days.Open Bible –https://bit.ly/psa34v12-14
