Psa 34:5 – Sparkling

Psa 34:5 – Sparkling

Shame; “a painful feeling of humiliation or distress caused by the consciousness of wrong or foolish behaviour.” How often in your life do you experience this feeling? We just said a hurtful thing about a close friend. We were angry with a family member. We were dishonest at work. Shame destroys our happiness, health, and well-being. In Psalm 34:5 we read, “Those who look to God are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.” The Hebrew word for “look” is “nabat”. It means, “to look intently at, to regard with pleasure, favour or care.” God is inviting us to seek Him intently, every day, with pleasure and care. And if we do this, he assures us our faces, despite our failings, will be radiant and never covered in shame. The word radiant means “to sparkle like the sheen of a running stream”. What a beautiful picture. What a contrast from a shame-covered face. Seek God and let him turn your shame to sparkle. Open Bible https://bit.ly/psa34v5
