Psa 43v3 – Riding in dark

We ride our bikes from our campsite along a maze of farm tracks to where we are headed to listen to some live music. It’s a stunning ride winding between vineyards and olive groves, past sparkling blue lakes and sun-drenched mountains. Ribbons tied sporadically to bushes along the way help guide us. However, when we return, it is dark. Now instead of being able to see everything from mountains to lakes, all we can see is what our small bike lights illuminate. The track immediately before us is visible, but we can no longer see around us. We can’t see where roads turn, where tracks are heading, or where markers are tied off to the side. Suddenly it’s really hard to find our way. And this, I am reminded, is what life is like without God. It’s a life where at best, we can see our path just ahead. But we lack context. We can’t see the big picture. We can’t see what’s really happening. We can’t see the beauty of God’s divine plan. We can’t see the signs he has placed that direct us. To change this, we need our lives to be flooded by God’s divine light. “Send me your light and your faithful care, let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy mountain, to the place where you dwell.” (Psalms 43:3). If life seems confusing. If what’s going on seems overwhelming, pray this prayer and let God’s light illuminate your life and bring you to his Kingdom. Open Bible – http://bit.ly/psa43v3
